Dear Sir,

My name is Daniel Henderson, since graduating from the Joe Kubert School in 2002 I have been self publishing comic books, I enjoy the freedom of creating the entire package, I write, draw, color and letter my own work. Working in self-publishing has been emotionally rewarding, but publishing and promoting my work have never been my strong points. This has led me to put together the following proposal for creator owned publishing.

My comic book is tentatively titled the Sleep Over it is a humorous take on the horror genre. My goal with this book is to deliver humor, interesting characters, surprising plot twists, and some cool moody imagery. Basically I enjoy taking the horror film archetypes and reinventing them for a smarter and hipper modern audience.

A few notes on the first issue; I intend to finish the book in color and have included a number of colored pages as examples, the rest of the book remains unfinished in black and white, as a result some pages are lacking in detail, this will be addressed in the coloring stage. Also, at the moment the book is intended for “mature” readers it contains a few curses and very little nudity, I am open to softening these elements if your company would prefer an all ages approach.
